More than £6m of funding has been allocated to schools in Fareham to support disadvantaged children. The money comes from the Pupil Premium which provides an extra £900 for every pupil who receives free school meals.

Recent figures from the Skills Funding Agency show that in 2012/13 a record 860 people enrolled on a full time apprenticeship, compared to 420 in 2009/10. The Government believes apprenticeships are an excellent long term investment for the future.
